Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Government Context. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, if you create or join an organization, that organization.

The service

Government Context mirrors and analyzes the public federal policy record — rulemakings and comments, legislation, hearings, lobbying and campaign-finance disclosures, grants, and agency announcements. Analysis (stance, commenter type, summaries, campaign detection) is produced by automated systems and provided as-is: it is research assistance, not legal advice, and may contain errors. Verify against the primary record before relying on it. You can use the service through this website or by connecting an AI assistant to our MCP server; when an assistant acts through your account, you are responsible for its use as if it were your own.

Accounts & seats

The free plan provides delayed access to the record at no charge; we may change what it includes, and its rate and follow limits, at any time. The paid plan is billed at a flat $500/month per organization during beta. Team members must be named individuals — credentials and access tokens (including MCP connections) may not be shared. Each user may be signed in to the website on at most two devices; this limit applies to web sessions only, and a user may connect any number of their own MCP clients. Organization owners control billing, members, and roles.

Payment, cancellation & the 30-day guarantee

Subscriptions bill monthly through Stripe and renew automatically. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the paid period. If you're unhappy in your first 30 days, email us and we'll refund your first payment in full.

Acceptable use

Don't resell or redistribute the service, scrape it or call the MCP server at abusive rates or in ways designed to evade rate limits or plan restrictions, probe its security, or use it to violate the law. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
