August 2, 2026

BOISE, Idaho —The Bureau of Land Management Four Rivers Field Office is adjusting the closure order of BLM-administered lands in the Boise Foothills that was in place due to the Claremont Fire. All trails, except 8th Street Motorcycle trail from the northern Femrite’s Patrol trail junction to Boise Ridge Rd, are open as of August 2, 2026. This segment of the 8 th Street Motorcycle trail will remain closed until fire danger subsides.

The BLM would like to remind visitors to stay on trails for public safety and to avoid further disturbance of natural resources. Visitors should also be prepared for ongoing maintenance activities as employees from the City of Boise, Ada County, BLM, and USDA Forest Service will be repairing areas impacted by the fire.

More information on the trail system cooperatively managed by the BLM, City of Boise, Ada County, Boise National Forest, and Idaho Fish and Game can be found on the Ridge to Rivers webpage or by calling the BLM Boise District Office at 208-384-3300.
