FTA Announces Approximately $19 Million Funding Opportunity for Tribal Transit Projects

FTA today announced the availability of approximately $19 million in competitive grant funding to support transit services for American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages in rural areas.
FTA’s Tribal Transit Program supports public transportation for federally recognized Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages, groups, or communities in rural areas and Indian Country.
Instructions for applying can be found on FTA’s Website. Complete proposals must be submitted electronically through the Grants.gov “Apply” function by August 25, 2026.
