2026-7-10 Order Selecting Air Carrier

By this Order, the U.S. Department of Transportation (the Department) selects Corporate Flight Management, Inc. d/b/a Contour Airlines (Contour) to provide Essential Air Service (EAS) at Vernal, Utah (Vernal), for the four-year term from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2030. Contour will provide Vernal with seven round trips per week from Vernal Regional Airport (VEL) to Denver International Airport (DEN), and five round trips per week to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) using 30-passenger ERJ-135/145 jet aircraft. Contour will be compensated at a first-year annual subsidy rate of $5,447,040, a second-year annual subsidy rate of $5,719,392, a third-year subsidy rate of $6,005,362, and a fourth-year subsidy rate of $6,305,630.2 For the four-year term of this Order, the Department also grants Vernal a waiver from the 49 U.S.C. § 41732(a) requirement that basic EAS must be conducted as scheduled air transportation.
