Hello,
My name is John, I am approaching 66 years old, several years ago I got my UAS Part 107 License with the plans when I do retire from my day job I can continue to work doing something that I enjoy. Currently I own several DJI Enterprise Drones, one has Thermal imaging for Capturing Roof Inspections and Solar Field Inspections. If I were to be forced to not use the DJI Drones I would not be able to afford the cost of USA made Drone.
My proposal would be only Part 107 Licensed Pilots with additional background checks to use these types of Drones.
This news leaves me in Limbo, do I get out of the Drone business? Do I need to try and sell all of my equipment, with about 25k invested in DJI Drones what do I do now?
Unfortunately, in my opinion banning Foreign made Drones will have a huge impact on Commercial activities. It may 10-15 years to if not longer to re-establish.
