Summary: An individual expresses strong opposition to the proposed measure, arguing that it prioritizes cost-cutting over human safety. They contend that car manufacturers should be required to install emergency brakes on all vehicles to prevent unnecessary deaths and injuries.
I do not feel safe as a human being who walks near roadways and who routinely rides in cars unless all vehicles, regardless of whether or not these vehicles are self-driving, have an emergency brake installed. These are regulations that has been written in blood, and I for one do not want unnecessary lives taken or otherwise harmed for the sake of some cost-cutting measures. Car manufacturing companies can afford to spend a little extra on these safety measures. Everyday people cannot afford the medical costs or the loss of their loved ones that could result from this measure's implementation. In simpler terms, I absolutely DO NOT support this measure, and frankly it is idiotic to consider cost-cutting measures over human lives.
