Summary: A local resident and farmer opposes the Mid-States Corridor project in Dubois County. They argue that the project is unnecessary because repairing and adding passing lanes to Highway 231 would be a more cost-effective solution that preserves farmland and homesteads.
We are definitely opposed to the new Mid States Corridor in Dubois County. We already have Hwy 231 running though our county and connecting to I 69. By repairing 231 & adding passing lanes, the cost would be minimal and would eliminate having to destroy the vast amount of precious farmland and homesteads. Many farms, as well as ours, will be divided in half without full access to the farm if the by-pass goes through. Please stop the unneeded corridor!!!
