I propose the development and adoption of a mobile application for Android and iOS to support traceability throughout the export process of Hass avocados and other agricultural products from Mexico to the United States.
The application would help stakeholders document, track, and verify the evidence, regulatory requirements, and compliance activities required by the parties involved, including Mexican and U.S. government agencies, customs authorities, farmers, agricultural cooperatives, exporters, and importers.
I have already developed an iPhone-tested prototype that covers the full process. This prototype can be enhanced, adapted, and scaled according to the operational and regulatory needs of interested stakeholders.
