Summary: The Fukushima Fallout Awareness Network (Citizens for Health) is urging the FDA to act on a long-standing citizen petition to significantly lower the allowable levels of Cesium 134 and 137 in food. They argue that the current delay puts public health at risk and call for a science-based ruling to protect consumers.
The Fukushima disaster occurred 14 years ago, yet the FDA has yet to act on the Citizen Petition FFAN filed 12 years ago to significantly lower
the current allowable levels of Cesium 134 and 137 in our food. This is unbearably and inexcusably long, unconscionably putting all our healths to risk, especially women's and children's and the elderly. Please finally get on the ball and issue a string science-based ruling to protect us all.
