Summary: An individual is urging the EPA to include chemical abortion pill residues on the Drinking Water Contaminant Candidate List. They argue that these substances should be monitored and tested similarly to PFAS to protect public health and the environment.
Clean water should not be a partisan issue. I am asking the EPA to look closely at chemical abortion pill residues and their impact on people and the environment. Hospitals and clinics are not allowed to dispose of biological material casually, yet chemical abortion allows drugs, blood, and human remains to enter wastewater without a serious national assessment. Please conduct regular and comprehensive testing, similar to the way PFAS and other concerning chemicals are monitored. This issue affects public health, environmental protection, and the dignity of human life. Please use the EPA's authority to investigate this problem and provide the public with clear answers.
