Our communities here in SD depend on safe drinking water, and I am asking the EPA to investigate whether mifepristone and related compounds are entering waterways. The agency should add the active components of mifepristone, including generic equivalents and metabolites such as monodemethylated, didemethylated, and hydroxylated metabolites, to the contaminants list for monitoring. That is exactly why the EPA should study whether residues in wastewater create broader risks. As someone who values both health and environmental stewardship, I believe this issue deserves immediate attention. Thank you for considering this request and for taking clean water seriously.
