Summary: The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) opposes the inclusion of a "microplastics" group on the Drinking Water Contaminant Candidate List 6 (CCL 6). They argue that the EPA failed to follow its established, objective, and science-based screening process for this category and that current scientific evidence does not demonstrate a significant public health risk from microplastics in drinking water.
