Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed Medicaid community engagement requirements, arguing that the rule will reduce health coverage for millions of Americans without increasing employment. They also express concern regarding the administrative burdens the rule would place on state and local governments.
I vehemently oppose the interim final rule implementing Medicaid community engagement (i.e., work) requirements. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) must withdraw this rule.
This unethical policy takes away the health coverage of millions of Americans yet fails to increase employment. Moreover, the huge administrative burdens on state and local governments will harm all Medicaid recipients as well as their communities. Therefore,
I urge CMS to preserve health care access for all eligible Americans by withdrawing this rule.
