I urge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to withdraw the interim final rule implementing Medicaid community engagement (i.e. work) requirements. I strongly oppose this rule.
This policy will strip health coverage from millions of working families, but it won't increase employment. There will be enormous administrative burdens on state and local governments, harming all Medicaid recipients and the communities in which they live.
I urge CMS to protect health care access for all eligible Americans by withdrawing this rule.
