Summary: An individual is opposing the proposed Medicaid community engagement requirements, arguing that the rule is inhumane and will deny health coverage to millions of working families. The commenter urges CMS to withdraw the rule, stating it will increase administrative burdens and cause harm to recipients.
The interim final rule implementing Medicaid community engagement, in other words, work requirements is inhumane. I feel very strongly about this and urge the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to withdraw this cruel rule.
This policy will do nothing to increase employment but will in fact deny health coverage for millions of working families. It will also increase the administrative responsibilities for state and local governments. Medicaid "Community Engagement" will end up causing more harm to these communities and their Medicaid recipients.
I strongly urge CMS to protect all eligible Americans by ensuring they receive the health care they require. Withdraw this rule.
