Summary: The commenter, an individual, urges CMS to withdraw the interim final rule regarding Medicaid community engagement requirements. They argue that the rule will strip health coverage from millions of working families and create significant administrative burdens for state and local governments.
I urge the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to withdraw the interim final rule implementing Medicaid community engagement (i.e., work) requirements. This policy strips health coverage from millions of working families without increasing employment. It creates enormous administrative burdens on state and local governments that will harm all Medicaid recipients as well as the communities in which they live. Surely this is not what we want to do! I urge CMS to protect health care access for all eligible Americans. Withdraw this rule before it creates untold harm for millions of US residents.
