I wish to express my opposition to the medicare code change precluding gastroparesis as a primary diagnosis. This disorder effects thousands of Americans who are at risk of starving to death if they are not able to cover the costs of total parenteral nutrition. Without assistance from medicare, which may be impossible to obtain if this rule goes into effect, many patients will be unable to survive.
