Summary: The commenter expresses frustration with the rulemaking process, arguing that the administration is using complex rules to favor political donors and allow companies to avoid providing benefits to workers. They suggest that instead of a new rule, the government should pass a law requiring companies to pay contractors significantly more to account for the lack of benefits.
People are laughing like anything and saying this Joint employer rule is same like other rules and allow cheating officially to political donors only.
Before joint employer or independent contractor rule goes into effect, why not simple law passed, Law not another year long rule making process to slow walk and cheat as that's the game current administration is playing without doing anything for hard working Americans,
- Company must pay 3 times to any contractor plus pay cash benefit for healthcare and 401k for 3 times than existing employees as those are temp work so they must make more to cover ideal non work time too.
Whole idea of consulting is more expensive for very niche skills but these days political donors want that as cheap labor and replace US citizens. Companies cheat and don't want to pay anyone health care or retirement so convert everyone contractor.
Current administration's offshoring policies are hurting college graduates big way where many folks in current administrations are busy in baby making.
what a shame.
