I respectfully ask USCIS to preserve and strengthen access to employment authorization for eligible immigrants and humanitarian parole beneficiaries. I came to the United States through the Uniting for Ukraine program after being forced to leave my home because of the war. My goal has always been simple: to work legally, support myself, and contribute to my community. Waiting for employment authorization has been extremely difficult. During that time, I struggled financially and depended on others for basic needs. Like many people in my situation, I do not want government assistance—I want the opportunity to earn my own living, pay taxes, and build a stable future. Employment authorization benefits not only immigrants but also American communities and employers that need reliable workers. Allowing people who are legally present to work helps families become self-sufficient and strengthens the economy. I respectfully ask USCIS to consider the real-life impact these decisions have on people who are following the law and trying to rebuild their lives after war and displacement. Thank you for considering my comment. I have been waiting many months for my work authorization, and the uncertainty has caused significant stress. I want nothing more than the chance to work honestly, support myself, and live with dignity.
