We, the Church of New Hope, respectfully ask you not to pass this legislation because it makes life more difficult for legal immigrants who respect the United States and obey its laws. Legal immigrants should have fair and unrestricted access to the U.S. labor market. They are not taking jobs away from American citizens. Many companies have open positions that they are unable to fill with U.S. workers, which is why employing legal immigrants benefits both businesses and the American economy.
Please stop making legal immigration more difficult. Instead, support policies that allow law-abiding immigrants to live, work, and contribute to the United States with dignity and stability.
