Children of working parents have more stable housing, better nutrition, and access to health insurance. This reduces the long-term burden on schools, charities, and social services. Since children and pregnant women may still qualify for Medicaid, having an EAD increases the likelihood that parents can obtain jobs offering employer-sponsored health insurance, reducing the need for public benefits
