I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed restrictions on discretionary employment authorization. As a husband and a father, my primary duty is to provide for my family, protect my child, and build a stable future. Prolonged delays and new restrictions on EADs directly threaten our family's ability to cover basic living expenses. This period of waiting places an unnecessary financial and emotional burden on us. We want to work legally, pay our taxes, support our child, and pay for our essential living costs—such as rent, healthcare, and insurance—without relying on any public assistance. I urge USCIS to expedite the EAD approval process rather than adding more limitations. Giving legal immigrants the ability to work allows us to remain self-sufficient, contribute to our local community, pay taxes, and be valuable members of American society.
