Summary: An individual Ukrainian resident supports the continued timely issuance and renewal of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for eligible Ukrainians. The commenter argues that legal work authorization provides essential financial stability for families fleeing the war and benefits American employers and communities.
Dear USCIS,
I respectfully ask USCIS to continue providing timely Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for eligible Ukrainians.
For many Ukrainian families, the ability to work legally in the United States is essential. Employment allows us to support our families, pay taxes, contribute to our employers and local communities, and remain financially independent during a time when returning to Ukraine is not a safe or realistic option for many.
Ukraine continues to face the devastating effects of Russia's ongoing war. Countless people have lost their homes, livelihoods, and communities. Until conditions are safe for return, the opportunity to work legally in the United States provides stability and hope.
Ukrainians across the country are contributing to the American workforce in healthcare, education, technology, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, public service, and many other industries. Employers value their dedication, skills, and strong work ethic.
I respectfully encourage USCIS to continue supporting eligible Ukrainians by ensuring timely processing and renewal of Employment Authorization Documents. This benefits not only Ukrainian families but also American employers and the communities they serve.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Hardworking Ukrainian.
