Summary: A developmental scientist argues that the proposed changes will undermine objective science and politicize the peer review process. They contend that these actions will have disastrous consequences for the welfare of children.
As a developmental scientist I know that the welfare of children throughout the United States and elsewhere depends on the success of independent, objective science. The proposed changes will effectively destroy the possibility of objective science, undermining the peer review that is central to scientific evaluation and politicizing what has been and must be an independent evaluation process. These changes will have real and really disastrous consequences for America's children.
