Please protect the integrity of science! The peer review process is sacred to the scientific process and needs to be maintained without interference by the government. Government officials are not qualified to determine the value or merit of scientific research. The proposed OMB rule would defund thousands of studies that are critical to American and global health and allow the US to position ourselves as scientific leaders. By allowing the government to restrict funding to projects that "align with Administration policies and priorities," the objectivity of the science that is performed goes out the window and with it, the ability of the public to trust any results that are obtained.
Please stop this administration from destroying American science with their disastrous policies and block the OMB's proposed rule!
