Summary: A Policy Data Analyst at 211 San Diego, an information and referral organization, opposes the proposed regulation. They argue that the rule will reduce available community services, straining local nonprofits and leaving vulnerable community members at greater risk of homelessness, hunger, and disease.
I am a Policy Data Analyst at 211 San Diego, an information and referral organization that helps connect community members to health and social services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, during calm times and crisis. I am writing to oppose §200.206, which will result in fewer available community services at a time when our local nonprofit organizations are already strained and have long waiting lists. This will leave many community members unsupported and at even greater risk of experiencing traumatic life events, such as chronic hunger, homelessness, and severe injury and disease. I strongly urge OMB to not finalize this rule.
