I am writing to support the proposed action, Notice of Availability of a Draft Management Plan (2026-09372).
I am especially glad to see attention to the need for a full and honest environmental review before any decision.
If this goes through, NOAA's draft environmental assessment evaluates the real environmental impacts of implementing the new plan and ongoing field activities at Olympic Coast, which is the right way to make informed decisions. The National Marine Sanctuaries Act requires NOAA to fulfill the purposes and policies that protect this sanctuary, and this updated plan keeps that legal commitment on track. The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary is an area that is enjoyed by all Americans and deserves robust and vigorous protections.
