Summary: The commenter is advocating for the protection of Rice's whales and the restoration of the Endangered Species Act in the Gulf of Mexico. They argue that human activities like climate change, boat collisions, and oil drilling are harming the species and call for immediate action to preserve the ecosystem.
Good Morning, To All Concerned, I am writing to you on behalf of our Rice"s whales. Please restore the Endangered Species Act in the Gulf of Mexico. We need to start making changes in our actions and indifference to the lives of other living species. Our whale populations have already been diminished by our encroachment upon them and the oceans they call home. Climate change, boat collisions, getting caught up in nets, drilling for oil and gas, noise, food loss, continue to cause pain, suffering and death for countless lives. They are trying to live, survive and care for their young in a world being overrun by "humans". They are vital to the health and well being of our ecosystems and their loss will directly affect universal negativity to our environment and other species, including people. Special interest groups, money, power and politics, misconceptions, myths and lies, greed, ignorance, fear, anger and hate are taking control. The public's opinions are not being heard and acknowledged Once these species are gone, there's no turning back When we lose them, we lose ourselves... Please be the change to make a difference for all life Thank you for your time
