Summary: An individual is urging the agency to provide urgent protections for Tope Sharks and their distinct population segments. The commenter argues that fishing is cruel and causes unnecessary pain to marine life, emphasizing that these species deserve protection from destruction.
Please do your best to protect the Tope Sharks and both of their distinct population segments from destruction. Please give these Sharks urgent protections straight away. Please stop killing the poor fish and sharks and leave them in peace. People don't need to eat fish and sharks, so please leave them alone. Please protect the fish and sharks instead, and do not torture and/or kill the fish and sharks anymore. Fishing does cause pain for fish. Recent studies reflect this discovery of fish actually experiencing pain. So, it would make sense that fish feel pain when being pierced with a hook or dying of asphyxia when taken out of the water. It's just cruel. Please check out the link below. All this killing is unnecessary, so please put an end to it. Fishing already inflicts massive pain on the fish species as is along with also harming/killing many Marine Mammals to top it off. Please protect all the Tope Sharks, including the Southern Africa DPS and the Southwest Atlantic DPS, because they are all precious and beautiful and they deserve protection just as other animals do.
