I have serious concerns and wish to publicly
express them about the DHS notice of proposed Rulemaking to increase the fees for Form 1 - 246. An increase from $155 to $755 is excessive and unreasonable. The impact of such a sum of money on low income families will be to render them incapable of taking advantage of this legal option. Such an outcome may be the intention here. I can find no justification for such a ruling. I hope that this increase will be seriously reconsidered.
