Summary: The commenter supports the listing of the Yellowstone Bison and advocates for their protection as an umbrella species. They call for the removal of migration barriers, the creation of wildlife crossings, and an end to winter slaughters until a sustainable population is established.
Hello USFWS,

I would like to see Option 3 for the Yellowstone Bison.
They are an umbrella species, which the rest of the intact Yellowstone ecosystem depends upon.
Let them procreate and populate in numbers of 10,000-11,000+
Remove barriers to their natural, seasonal migrations.
It's time for we humans to build fences to keep cattle inside and let our Bison roam as nature intended.
Use federal and state funds to build important wildlife crossings across Hwy 191 and create safer crossings around Yellowstone.
With drought and the lessening of nutritious grasses and harder winters, the herd will naturally thin out, ebb and flow.
The GYE will be better for their presence on the land.
They must be given protections now, the state government, the current Governor Gianforte, Dept. of Livestock and a lack of communication between the tribes and all the parties has caused winter slaughters which are unacceptable and cruel and excessive.

Bison's migratory needs must be considered and planned for by city planners, and the departments responsible for roads,.
Stop the hunts until there is a sustainable and scientifically verified population. We can't take another slaughter like the one last winter.
