Summary: An individual is writing to express strong support for listing the Yellowstone bison as an endangered or threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. They argue that the bison face significant dangers and that it is ethically and practically necessary to provide them with federal protection.
I am writing in support of Endangered Species Act protection for the wild buffalo of Yellowstone Country.
I am sure you know the many dangers the wild Buffalo are facing so I will not list them here, but instead ask why?

Why are we going to send them to the brink again?

We have taken so much from them and even from ourselves in not protecting them. Whatever might be your particular philosophy on the ethics of saving them, it is all only positive to put them on the list and only negative to not do so. So why? Why would we not save them?
