Summary: An individual is requesting the denial of specific permits to protect the Alabama Beach Mouse from habitat destruction. The commenter advocates for moving construction projects to alternative locations to preserve the vulnerable species' habitat.
Please deny permits to the following applicants: ITP number PER28008529 to Chris Prantl, ITP number PER26823969 to Dan Higdon, ITP number PER26823534 to Elite South Alabama Vacation Series LLC, ITP number PER27847814 to John Davidson Properties LLC, ITP number PER27582682 to Jonathon Lazzarino, ITP number PER27003784 to Phouc Nguyen, ITP number PER25662935 to RBM Homes LLC, ITP number PER26824147 to Silver Davis LLC, and ITP number PER24494290 to Willie and Sheri Payne. Please do your best to protect the Alabama Beach Mice from destruction and harm. Please recommend to the applicants, especially those who wish to construct single-family homes for themselves, to have their construction be moved to another location where they will not bother the habitat of the Alabama Beach Mice. 50 years is a very long time for all these permits. Coastal residential, commercial development, and roadway construction have fragmented and destroyed habitat used by this poor species. And along with storms and other threats, the Alabama Beach Mice have it rough. Please protect the Alabama Beach Mice, because they are vulnerable and precious and beautiful. Hope things work out well!
