It is commendable to promote hunting and fishing, but I am opposed to the current proposal to increase the hunting pressure on existing properties. It has always been my belief the National Wildlife Refuge system was all about obtaining, nurturing, perpetuating and protecting acreage that provides safe havens for local and migratory wildlife which only will be hampered if hunting pressure is increased. Please reconsider this proposal so that countless generations will in the future have the opportunity to hunt and fish.
