I want LIbrela and Sobrensa taken off of the market for animals. My then 13-year-old mini-dachshund sufferred from IVDD and my vet injected one dose April 2025. Lani, doxie, has had major problems ever since and I wasn't aware of the adverse events that could result from the Librela shot until after the vet administered if and she totally worsened. Lani had then been referred to a neurology vet at the Specialty clinic in Madison, due to confusion, ataxia, difficulty going on walks, etc. She later developed eye ulcers and is now basically blind and has been losing her balance in the back legs. She saw an ophthamology vet 4 times at the Madison Specialty clinic, then many times locally and the vision declined over time. We have been absolutely overwhelmed seeing our sweetest girl suffer through so much medical turmoil and these are all the result of Librela. I would have never asked about the shot, had I known about the possible adverse events and my vet didn't inform us about it. Please take into account the fact that we had many trips to Madison from the Dubuque IA area, not to mention vet bills upwards of $3500 to $4000 for Lani
to be cared for...while her "sister" has been her support, leading her somewhat and sniffing lately at Lani, who has just recently been diagnosed with stage II kidney disease:( We are so frustrated that the med is still advertised and on the market; saddened at Lani's senior years being nothing but suffering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU can do somethng about this please and stop pharma from being dishonest regarding these deadly meds. I am attaching two photos of Lani, Healthy before Librela...the white doxie and her sister, Kali. Then, one more recently, in which you can see her eyes with ulcers---there are more recent pics but I have them on my phone (may try to send as well)
