Summary: Johanna Ihli submitted a comment sharing her personal experience of severe muscle damage and mobility issues after taking Cipro. She argues that the drug is dangerous and supports the citizen petition based on her adverse reaction.
I took Cipro in December 2012 for a surgical procedure called a pancreatectomy with auto islet cell transplant and a splenectomy. I woke up one morning unable to move bilateral arms. Dr advised me to NEVER take Cipro or Levaquin again because of this serious reaction. I saw an orthopedic surgeon who said I had muscle damage in one rotator cuff. No treatment was necessary as it resolved. This is a very dangerous drug in my opinion..
