Summary: A 100% VA-disabled veteran argues in favor of expediting the recognition of ketamine's value for treating long-term pain and treatment-resistant depression. The commenter provides personal testimony and a detailed research appendix to support the safety and efficacy of ketamine in a clinical setting compared to recreational use.
Please expedite recognition of Ketamine's value for treatment of both long-term pain, and treatment-resistant depression. I am 100% VA disabled and suffer from long-term pain due to injury to my back and neck. Ketamine is the only long-term treatment that doesn't leave me addicted to opioids, while giving me my life back.
