Why immune system when activated against intruders, do not attack normal host cells?
The answer is Factor H. This is an immune regulator of Alternate complement system. It plays a dominant role to protect normal host cells. The genomic location of Factor H is same as regulatory immune proteins on the cell surface at chromosome 1 at Q32 position.
