Summary: An individual patient who has seen significant quality-of-life improvements from TAVNEOS (Avacopan) argues against withdrawing its approval. They state that while some side effects exist, the medication is necessary for patients with their specific condition to feel comfortable and normal.
I have gpa with a first of it's kind mutation causing my airways and left lung to construct and collapse. Vanderbilt Hospital and specifically Dr. Kevin e Wayne Byram never prescribed taveneos and over the course of two and a half years improved my quality of life significantly. Please consider the people it's helping and keeping alive. I understand there have been some major negative effects for some. That's terrible but expected in the pharmaceutical world. Others like myself need this medication to feel a little more normal and comfortable. I would like to vote and vouch for it to stay on the market.
