This is an egregious overreach by persons who are ideologically opposed to the existence of trans people. The opinions and personal beliefs of individuals should not be enforced on other people. The research does not support restrictions on access to gender affirming care and this care has been shown to have an overwhelmingly positive impact on those who pursue it. I know many people for whom this is life saving care and creating these barriers and trail of documentation only puts this small minority at greater risk of harm.
