It's unfortunate about Levemir not being available because I have many patients who relied on it for control over a 24 hour period. They are very upset. Glargine has too many peaks and valleys. Many are athletes and appreciate the ability to exercise and not get low. I'm an endocrinologist at UCSD in San Diego.
