Summary: The commenter supports the inclusion of GLP-1s on the list of bulk drug substances for 503B pharmacies. They argue that 503B pharmacies provide essential access to custom dosing for patients and that removing this option would harm patients and pharmacies.
The FDA should not outlaw 503B pharmacies from compounding GLP-1's. They provide independent 503A pharmacies with access who do not have a sterile lab. It allows our patients greater access, they can do custom dosing that is more appropriate for them as determine by their prescribers. We believe the only reason Pharma has brought there prices down is because of said competition. Taking away 503B compounded GLP-1's will hurt so many patients who are already using them as well as the pharmacies providing it for them.
