I need compounded tirzepatide for these reasons:
No FDA-approved product meets my needs.
I currently use 6.25 mg of tirzepatide, which is between the commercially available dose strengths. The FDA-approved products are offered only in fixed dose increments and do not allow this dose.
I also split my weekly dose into smaller injections, which reduces side effects.
When I used the FDA-approved product through LillyDirect, I had significant nausea and headaches even at the lowest 2.5 mg dose for about eight weeks.
After switching to compounded tirzepatide from a licensed pharmacy, I had far fewer side effects. My Dr suspects my symptoms were from the Phenol in name-brand approved products.
The brand-name medication is prohibitively expensive and is not a practical option for me.
Compounded tirzepatide allows me to use the dose and dosing schedule that works best for me and that I tolerate well.
