It is my pleasure to nominate Adam Evanschwartz to serve on the National Airspace System Advisory Committee (NAC). Adam is a strategic leader with a strong record of advancing operational efficiency, organizational performance, and technology modernization across our global aviation portfolio. Collins Aerospace is a major provider of aircraft systems and air traffic management capabilities that support the safe and efficient movement of passengers and cargo. In this context, Adam has consistently demonstrated a systems‑level understanding of how operational needs, emerging technologies, and policy priorities must align to strengthen the capacity, efficiency, and resilience of the National Airspace System (NAS). As both a business executive and a certificated pilot, he brings a balanced perspective informed by direct operational insight.
Adam’s background spans more than two decades and includes work with leading aircraft manufacturers, development of avionics and air traffic management technologies, and leadership of collaborative industry engagement. He models the values of safety, trust, accountability, and technical integrity, and demonstrates the leadership traits essential for effective engagement with operators, air navigation service providers, policymakers, regulators, and industry partners. His contributions support long‑range planning within our organization and help guide industry‑wide transitions toward more data‑enabled, interoperable, and resilient aviation systems.

Biography
Adam Evanschwartz serves as Vice President of Strategy & Business Development for the 15,000‑employee Avionics business unit of Collins Aerospace. The business provides technologies that support pilots through advanced aircraft systems and real‑time operational insights, and support controllers through surveillance, automation, and decision‑support capabilities deployed at global scale. Collins Avionics has more than two million avionics products in service, including 16,000 integrated avionics systems, and its air traffic management solutions help manage more than two‑thirds of global air traffic. Its communications network handles more than 60 million messages each day at 99.999 percent availability. In his current role, Adam leads product strategy, business development, and long‑range planning for key solution areas that are further detailed in the attached nomination document.
Adam brings more than 20 years of aviation industry experience, including leadership roles in strategy, transformation, and business development at Collins Aerospace, as well as prior work at an aircraft manufacturer and in flight operations. His responsibilities and prior work span:
• Economic‑benefit assessments for emerging flight deck and ATM capabilities and procedures
• Analysis of industry trends, growth, and associated operational and strategic implications
• Evaluation of business cases informing investment in new aircraft and ATM capabilities
• Leadership of organizational design and transformation initiatives, large‑scale change‑management efforts, and change‑communications campaigns
Adam holds an MBA from the University of Iowa; completed elective aviation coursework at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University; and holds FAA Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, Ground Instructor, and Remote Pilot certificates. He is committed to advancing timely, practical modernization of the NAS and supporting the workforce and users at the center of the aviation system as the industry transitions toward more data‑enabled, automated, and interoperable architectures.
