Summary: A parent of a child with severe food allergies supports the proposed policy to allow life-saving medication on flights. The commenter argues that having trained personnel with access to this medication would provide essential support and reduce anxiety for families traveling with allergic children.
I strongly support this effort as I am a mother of a child with severe food allergies. Anyone dealing with this knows how quickly reactions happen, escalate and need to be treated. Including this life-saving medication would not only provide fast access to the medication but would require training of staff, enabling a family to receive immediate support in case of an emergency vs relying on the person or in our case, family member, to act quickly and without anxiety. I can't stress enough how important it could be to have trained personnel access to this medication on flights and help families. We can't live in a bubble -travel in inevitable - please help us live our life with a little less anxiety while traveling.
