We strongly support this petition. Anaphylaxis can be deadly and it's critical that epinephrine be accessible, accurate, and fast in an emergency.
The current syringe-based requirement places an unreasonable burden on flight crews and bystanders who may have little or no medical training. Auto-injectors and nasal spray devices exist precisely to close this gap. Millions of Americans have life-threatening food allergies. The technology is available. The need is clear. The time to update this standard is now.
