We all know what happens when compliance is delayed: ignored warnings, chemical leaks, blowouts, infrastructure collapse, fatal explosions. Sure some may claim those are not completely applicable to PFAs yet even if that were the case, who would want any of that? And who would want anything but the strongest of security and guarantee when it comes to our health? It must be voices of industry CEOs, because my front-line community and countless others who have to actually live with the consequences of PFAs sure didn’t ask for this proposal! Clean water is not only a human right, but a critical one we all need to stay alive and healthy. No exceptions. Delaying compliance is delaying our security to a healthy future, and opening the door for destruction. We are the richest nation in the world yet we can never guarantee, amongst other things, clean water for the public? Only infinite delays and hoping one possesses the privilege to minimize their exposure? That’s the best we can do? That’s pathetic if not outright criminal. Do not delay any compliance. Do not omit any number of PFAs from compliance. You are the government. Do your job.
