The EPA has been aware of the health risks associated with PFOA and PFOS since 2002 and industry has known for decades that these substances increase risks for cancer and endocrine disorders. It is completely unacceptable that the production of forever chemicals have been unregulated for decades and resulted in these substances being found in 99% of a living creatures in the world. Regulation is long past due and an extension to 2031 will only allow for further accumulation of PFOA and PFOS in the environment and in humans.
