Dear Environmental Protection Agency, I am writing to you today in regard to the Rescission of Regulatory Determinations and Removal of Related Provisions for Four PFAS Substances (PFHxS, PFNA, HFPO–DA (GenX), and the Mixture of These Three PFAS Plus PFBS). I am a United Methodist Creation Justice Ambassador, I believe that everyone deserves clean water. To rescind the regulations on these PFAS chemicals is irresponsible. We are already seeing the negative health effects of long-term exposure to PFAS chemicals. Even these Short-chain PFAS occur in water, soil, food, and even human blood. Numerous epidemiological investigations have connected these PFAS chemicals exposed to numerous detrimental health impacts, such as increased cholesterol, immune dysfunction, thyroid hormone disruption, renal and hepatic damage, endocrine disruption, cancers, neurological disorders, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. I have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and I want them to be able to live a healthy life. I want our planet to be free of this contamination. We are already exposed to enough PFAS chemicals in other forms. Everywhere I turn I find PFAS in so many things, in the soil, in my makeup and on my food. It is wide spread I am very concerned that there will be a health crisis in this country. Health insurance premiums are already unaffordable for so many people. This is one way we can keep our water free from PFAS. Please consider keeping these chemicals under regulation. Thank you
