[PART 1 of 2] As a citizen and native of Florida, I do not consent to Google's plan to release 64 million Wolbachia-infested mosquitoes into my state and I must raise my voice in protest against having them released in California as well. Not only will this be disruptive for the existing biological foodchain in the economy but it's an experiment that would be conducted without the full and informed consent of the people. We have received little to no public notice of this experiment that is planned and therefore have not been able to voice our opinions in this matter. For the government to approve of Google's experiment without first receiving feedback from the people of the planned affected states is to essentially state that Google as a corporation retains more significance than the common people, and that we as the common people should be left in widespread ignorance of these matters despite them directly affecting us. It would be against the social order of our nation, for our government to heed only the voice of this singular corporation and ignore the voices of that of its people. We as the citizens and denizens of our states should be properly informed of this experiment and it should be put to a proper vote for us to have representation in this choice as well. If anything should fall afoul if this experiment goes through without us even being able to vote on it without full and informed consent, then the government and Google should be expected to be held accountable in the future by the common people should investigations be conducted into the destruction of the biological foodchain and the disruption of life in the states of Florida and California. It is stated in our nation's Declaration of Independence that "Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," therefore it should be clear that the approval of Google's planned experiment to release those infected mosquitoes without first ensuring that the voices of the people from Florida and California are heard in a proper vote is a violation of this right we retain as citizens of this nation.
